PHP development on PC can be tiring and frustrating. Running PHP online is a much n more viable than using development environment such as WAMP / XAMP. Sure, these come with db and permission management / admin panel all set. However, good luck running your first script ! Fortunately, the command-line provides a far more fun, easy and quick approach.

Installing PHP

CLI PHP with version 5.4 or newer

 php -S localhost:8000

on your root directory

or write

echo "greetings !!!!!!!!";

in a file called greet.php then run

php greet.php

output : greetings !!!!!!!!

Dependency management

similarly you can composer init install etc. CLI is very nice !
